The Public Service Compact commissioned iceni Productions to investigate and promote the benefits of working in the Public Service sector, and help inform a wide range of individuals about the highly diverse choice of opportunities available.

A questionnaire, completed by 145 people working across the range of Public Service sub-sectors, was the start of this process, asking what people really thought about careers in Public Service.

The results of the research are published below.

The upper part of the page is the raw data collected, displayed as percentages. The lower part features an interactive section that allows you to interpret the data that has been collected. The interviewees were also invited to comment on their personal experience of working in the Public Service sector. The full responses can be read by clicking here.

This research project culminated in the production of an acclaimed short film featuring honest and inspiring interviews with people who are building careers in Public Service. The film is available on DVD by clicking here.
